Townsendare seeking aSenior Cost Managerto work on large-scale construction projects. The Senior Cost Manager will be responsible for providing cost management services for one of our high-profile clients.
The Senior Cost Manager will report to the Commission Lead. This is a 100% on-site role at the Data Center jobsite.
Responsibilities
Desk review of monthly application for payment on an actual cost-plus basis. Verify all costs applied for are allowable per contract and supported by adequate substantiation / back-up prior to submission into client payment systems for pre-approval.
Utilize client payment systems to review and approve selected contractor invoices.
Provide monthly updates to the portfolio dashboard on project data.
Carry out change management support by evaluating and recommending approval, and/or rejection of cost of proposed change and tracking of change orders.
Support the evaluation of contractor claims and provide recommendation to Senior Cost manager.
Verify all project closeout documentation required, per contract, has been received and is acceptable for the client.
Provide commercial recommendations relating to partial and full retention release, in accordance with contract requirements.
