Due to continued growth, we are looking to add aSenior Associateto our team in New Philadelphia, Ohio. TheSenior Associate performs routine accounting activities such as general ledger posting, preparation of various accounting statements and financial reports, and accounts payable and receivable functions. The Senior Associate performs work at a higher level of complexity for higher level clients. This position has a high level of client contact and responsibility for delivery goals being met.
Responsibilities
Understands clients’ needs and is proactive in proposing solutions
Prepares financial statements
Reconciles bank accounts and researches discrepancies
Compiles, prepares, and maintains financial data and records in compliance with established policies and procedures for mid-to-high level clients
Performs professional staff level duties including direct client consulting and other special projects
Manages client back-office accounting
Maintains substantial client contact for effective client service
Ensure delivery goals are met by department through process management and inter-departmental communication
May supervise a team for day-to-day management of scheduling, training, and procedures
Research reference materials involving bookkeeping and tax questions
Other duties as required
Supervisory Responsibilities:
May superviseand manage the day-to-day work assignments ofAssociates
Providesverbal and written performance feedback toAssociates, as necessary
May act as a buddy to associates and specialists
Supervises the work assignments of Associates within assigned engagement team
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or relevant fieldrequired
3-5yearsofrelevantexperience
Basic supervisory experience,preferred
Strong technology skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook at a minimum, more applications preferred)
QuickBooks Online
Prior business experience and ability to apply that experience to a wide range of client situations
Ability to motivate and manage staff in a pay-for-performance environment with remote staff
Attention to detail
Ability to meet tight deadlines
Ability to manage unexpected and sometimes urgent firm or client matters as they arise
Expertise using a range of technology solutions (software, peripherals, etc.)
Project management skills
Time management skills
