The companyis seeking an ambitious and passionate Senior Analyst, Energy Markets to join our Commercial Team. You will be a valued resource on the Commercial Team as a Subject Matter Expert developing and leading the company's participation and engagement in organized wholesale markets. The position will contribute and lead activities across multiple internal and external working groups to advance the company's strategic objectives through analysis, evaluation, and execution of market strategies for the company's assets.
Participate in industry forums including in-person meetings, conference calls, and webinars with representatives from multiple entities to represent the company's interests related to emerging markets.
Provide analytical and technical expertise related to market initiatives and market enhancements with a focus on increasing the value of the company's assets in organized wholesale markets.
Develop quantitative and qualitative analysis of regulatory and policy changes to assess the impacts on the operations and performance of the company's assets.
Develop, coordinate, and execute plans to adapt the company's operational strategies in organized wholesale markets.
Engage with industry experts, consultants, and operational personnel to support the development, implementation, and integration of the company's enterprise-wide strategy in energy markets.
Develop and prepare presentations and material for internal and external stakeholders related to market design and operations.
Arrange, organize, and lead regularly scheduled management meetings to report and recommend operational efficiencies related to the company's assets.
Identify and implement enhancement opportunities and risk mitigation strategies associated with Resource Adequacy and off-take agreements with IOUs, Energy Market Participants, and Corporate entities.
Lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously as the primary point-of-contact with internal and external stakeholders.
Bachelors Degree or higher in Business, Economics, Finance, Environmental or related field of study
Seven (7) or more years of experience in functions related to organized wholesale markets, stakeholder processes, and energy market participation.
Experience analyzing complex commercial and regulatory structures using data to support decision making.
· Experience and knowledge of utility scale battery and solar technologies.
· Experience leading cross-functional project teams and implementing multiple projects.
Experience in energy markets, including deregulated energy markets, related to both physical operations and regulatory structures
