Position Overview:

The company isseeking a talented Senior Accountant to join their finance team. Reporting to the Controller,the Senior Accountant will play a key role in supporting the company's financial operations and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to a dynamic and growing department.
Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee the month-end closing process, including the detailed preparation and review of journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements, ensuring accuracy.
Manage the full rangeof accounting operations, encompassing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and expense tracking, while adhering to internal controls and compliance guidelines.
Execute detailed analysis of general ledger accounts, including individual transactions to identify discrepancies, and providing insights to enhance financial performance.
Collaborate with colleaguesto complete financial reporting and analysis, making recommendations to support decision-making and strategic planning initiatives.
Champion process improvement initiatives, leveraging automation tools and implementing best practices to streamline accounting workflows.
Mentor and advisejunior team members on complex accounting matters.
Serve as a liaison for external audits, preparing audit schedules and managing audit inquiries.
Drive special projects and initiatives as directed by senior management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
3-4 years of combined public accounting and corporate accounting experience preferred.
CPA certification or experience working for a public accounting firm required.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels.
Commitment to maintaining a high level of integrity and professionalism in all aspects of work.
Compensation:
Competitive salary based on experience ($90,000-$100,000)
