We are currently seeking aSenior Account Executivewith a proven track record of planning and executing PR strategies to join ourAutomotive &
Lifestyle/CPGteam of brand builders and storytellers.
In your role as Senior Account Executive, your main responsibility will be building strong relationships with clients, securing meaningful press coverage for brands, and developing written content in line with the clients’ overarching communications strategies.
Core Day-To-Day Responsibilities:
Serve as a primary client contact with the proven ability to manage and drive multiple client account programs and support teams to deliver strategic value.
Directly manage day-to-day activities on client accounts and participate in regular conference calls.
Execute strong PR campaigns with the team.
Proactively pitch and secure maximum editorial opportunities;
maintain press interestin clients through development of creative pitch angles and create buzz around major client news.
Daily press interaction. Nurture and develop strong relationships with key lifestyle along with consumer tech, business, and trade reporters via regular communication and media meetings.
It’s a bonus to have existing connections with editors covering automotive in lifestyle and trade publications.
Draft media and client materials as assigned including press releases, bios, talking points, and media alerts.
Support in the development of editorial calendars for clients and draft content for client LinkedIn channels, client leadership LinkedIn profiles, or bylined articles to be placed in trade or business outlets.
Delegate duties and review the work of supporting team members (e.G., drafts of press materials, pitches, coverage reports, etc.).
Brainstorm creative partnership and activation ideas for clients as well as new business opportunities.
Help develop full launch strategies surrounding client partnerships and activation.
Manage planning and execution of client events and press trips.
Multitask across multiple client accounts and projects ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
Track industry trends, share insights with the BPCM team and clients,and identify relevant opportunities for clients.
Assist in the development of proposals for new business presentations.
Requirements
What You Bring to the Role:
3-5 years PR experience (agency or in-house) working on publicity campaigns with Automotive/Mobility, consumer goods brands, or financial institutions
Strong, established lifestyle and consumer technology press relationships
Superior writing, communications and presentation skills
Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills;
adept at developing rapport with clients to maintain strong working relationships
Ability to align press initiatives with the business goals of brands/clients
Expert at maintaining ongoing relationships with members of top-tier media
Proven results with top-tier media outlets
Proficient skills in key databases (MuckRack, Cision) along with the Microsoft suite of programs (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word)
Problem solving and solution-oriented with a proactive, “roll up your sleeves” attitude
Location:
This role is based in our Brooklyn, NY office on a hybrid basis. We are seeking candidates who wish to work a hybrid schedule of WFH and a minimum of two days required per week in the Brooklyn office.
The anticipated salary range for this position is $72,000 - $85,000. Actual compensation is based on a range of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location.
Where a prospective employee will be paid within the compensation range listed above will depend on a number of factors including but not limited to the candidate's depth of experience and qualifications, the level of specialization the role requires;
budgetary considerations, and the local market conditions that exist where the employee will be based.
