Senior A/P Accountant

Job Description
Supervise vendor setup to ensure that all vendors the Company does business with are legitimate vendors and provide the Purchasing Department with the necessary information to process vendors.
Supervise processing cost invoices prepared by the Staff Accountant to ensure the vendor, invoice date, invoice due date, invoice amount, and G/L coding is accurate.
Supervise processing employee expense claims prepared by the Staff Accountant ensuring each expense report submitted has proper documentation (receipts), communicating with the employee/manager if any issues arise from processing expense reports, and ensuring each expense listed are coded to the proper G/L account.
Supervise the month-end close procedures to ensure that all invoices are related to the month are recorded timely and accurately as well as recording all accruals needed for any invoices that have not been approved timely so that expenses are accurately represented.
Perform inventory and fixed asset day-to-day procedures to ensure all inventory/fixed asset purchases are recorded accurately based on the company policy and movement between inventory/fixed assets are accurately represented.
Lead communication with the Warehouse department to ensure both the G/L and subledger accurately represents all inventory/fixed assets.
Perform balance sheet reconciliations for accounts payable, accrued expense, prepaid expense, and inventory accounts to ensure the amounts are accurately represented on the financial statements.
Perform weekly cash disbursement run with the Head of Finance, North America to ensure all invoices that are due are paid timely.
Assist the Head of Finance, North America in audits, providing all necessary documents and information, and prepare reports required by auditors.
Oversee the Accounts Payable Department to ensure all Staff Accountants, Accounts Payable have proper guidance and training to execute day-to-day tasks.
Work closely with the Head of Finance, North America to help assist process improvements.
To perform all additional work designated by the Head of Finance, North America as needed.
