Security Officer

Part-time position, $18 per hour
We are looking for a vigilant Loss Prevention Officer that will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our guests, visitors and team members by patrolling and monitoring premises and staff. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of risk management. They will be skilled in identifying and resolving issues before they escalate, always ensuring the safety and security of our guests and staff.
Responsibilities
Patrol hotel premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence.
Monitor all surveillance cameras and security systems.
Investigate and report any irregularities or suspicious activities.
Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities.
Promptly report accidents and injuries to supervisor.
Coordinate with law enforcement agencies when necessary.
Ensure all access points are secure and locked according to hotel standards.
Respond to alarms promptly and investigate disturbances.
Provide assistance to guests and staff in case of emergency.
Conduct regular security checks according to hotel standards.
Maintain activity log during each shift.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Must display a high level of responsibility and trust.
Must have the ability to work independently and make critical decisions in a timely manner.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to change activity frequently and cope with interruptions.
Proven experience as a loss prevention officer or guard.
Knowledge of report writing.
Able to work Sunday through Saturday, early mornings and evenings as needed.
Must have basic computer skills.
Must be First Aid and CPR certified.
Possess excellent communication skills.
Physical Demands
Must be able to push, pull, carry, and lift up to fifty (50) pounds with or without accommodation.
Must be able to bend, stoop, twist, and reach above shoulders and head.
Must be able to stand and/or walk continuously throughout shift.
