Secondary History Teacher- Christian School

Astatula Baptist Church and Astatula Christian School are seeking a qualified and dedicated candidate for a Secondary History Teacher position. This is a full-time position for the upcoming academic year.
Responsibilities
Plan, prepare, and deliver dynamic history lessons that adhere to the school's curriculum guidelines
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and critical thinking
Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and materials to accommodate diverse student learning styles
Assess and evaluate student progress through regular assessments, projects, and assignments
Provide timely feedback to students and parents regarding academic performance and growth
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine curriculum, instructional resources, and assessment tools
Participate in faculty meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events as required

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in History or a related field preferred
Valid teaching certification or license in History or Social Studies preferred
Prior experience teaching history at the secondary level is preferred
Strong knowledge of historical content, concepts, and theories
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and parents
Background screening is required
