The Scheduling Specialist is responsible for managing and coordinating appointments for patients at FourPoints Health and the Paiute Indian Tribe of Utah. They will work closely with medical and dental staff to schedule appointments in an efficient and timely manner. The Scheduling Specialist will also provide excellent customer service to patients, ensuring their needs are met and their questions or concerns are addressed. The Scheduling Specialist maintains high data entry standards for patient information, including assisting with insurance entry and verification. Adheres to strict privacy policies protecting patient/client information.
Work Schedule:
Commitment to work Monday through Friday
Commitment to work on holidays
Willingness to work on weekends with future expansion
Responsibilities:
Include, but are not limited to:
Receiving calls, responding to messages, and resolving scheduling conflicts or issues in a professional and timely manner.
Scheduling appointments for multiple departments.
Coordinate with staff to ensure availability of providers and resources.
Assisting with entry level support and billing questions.
Ensures data entry standards are upheld.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of appointments and patient information.
Works as an advocate for Tribal and Community Members.
Communicate with patients to confirm appointments and provide necessary instructions or information.
Coordinates with department managers and patients to ensure consistent communication occurs.
Provide exceptional customer service to patients, addressing their needs and concerns.
Helps educate patients on new clinic processes and patient portal tools.

Requirements
General Requirements:
Must be insurable through the Tribe’s vehicle insurance required.
Must pass a criminal and fingerprint background check according to P.L. 101-630 standards required.
Must be able to pass an alcohol/drug screening required.
Education &
Experience:
High School Diploma, equivalent GED or higher required.
Preferred one (1) year experience working in a customer support or health-related field.
License &
Certifications:
Must possess, maintain, and provide proof of a valid Driver License required.
