Safety, Health & Environment Specialist

Job Description
AECOM Hunt is seeking an entry level Safety, Health &
Environment Specialist to join our Hunt Construction group.
This position will be supporting our Lake Orion, MI project site location.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Under direct supervision, performs basic and routine duties in a wide range of environmental, health and safety disciplines to achieve compliance with the ES&
H standards along with federal and state regulatory requirements.
Assists in the development, implementation and maintenance of safety and health programs, systems and procedures.
Supports the evaluation of Contractors safety plans and performance.
Assists in the review of Pre-Task plans / Job Hazard Analysis.
Assists in implementing the client/site safety management process.
Assists in monitoring hazards and diseases that could be present in the work area.
Works with others to investigate accidents, injuries and complaints concerning hazards in the workplace.
Participates in recommending improvement in processes, design, procedures, and equipment to minimize hazards.
Participates in employee training, emergency preparedness and assures the quality of programs.
