Position Summary:

The Quality/Safety Coordinator position is responsible to act as a liaison with the Quality/ Safety leadership team, Surgical leadership, Administration, clinical and surgical staff, and surgical patients. The responsibilities include oversight for all quality and safety programs related to surgical services, regulatory compliance, and data management for program registries. Registry and Programs include, but not limited to the Orthopedic Center of Excellence (OCE) certification/re-certification, Optimized Surgical Recovery (OSR), OASCAHPS (Surgical Patient Experience) The Joint Commission (TJC) Accreditation, and provide safety programs meeting AORN, ANSI/AAMI, and ASPAN standards. .

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Education

Successfully obtains Laser/Safety Officer certification within first year of hire.DragEditDeleteRequired Skills
Must be an effective educator and strive for personal growth and education to insure all aspects of safety are maintained in the surgical services area. Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
