Rn (Registered Nurse)- Assisted Living/Memory Care- Full Time

Interim HealthCare is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team! This is a full time position Monday -Friday with flexible daytime hours along with some on call responsibilities. There is a also a potential for this to become a permanent position. This RN will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and health of our senior residents. The ideal candidate will have experience in geriatric nursing and a passion for providing high-quality care to elderly individuals. Come join our amazing team of healthcare professionals!

Hourly pay rate:
$55-$60//hour + on call (to be determined)

Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive health assessments for residents, including vital signs, medication management, and overall health status monitoring.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and update individualized care plans for residents, addressing their unique healthcare needs.
Administer medications, ensure proper documentation, and educate residents and their families about medication regimes.
Provide health education to residents and their families on various topics such as disease management, preventative care, and healthy lifestyle choices.
Coordinate and communicate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and support staff, to ensure comprehensive and holistic care for residents.
Respond to medical emergencies promptly and efficiently, following established protocols and providing immediate care as needed.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, documenting all assessments, interventions, and communications related to resident care.
Work closely with the Director of Nursing, nursing staff, and other team members to maintain a cohesive and supportive care environment.
Ensure compliance with state regulations, facility policies, and industry standards in the delivery of nursing care.
Foster open and transparent communication with residents, their families, and staff to promote a positive and collaborative care environment.

Requirements:

RN degree from an accredited school of nursing.
Current and valid RN license in the state of Minnesota.
Previous experience in geriatric nursing.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues.
A compassionate and empathetic approach to working with senior residents.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
Willingness and flexibility to cover on call needs over the phone.
