Shift:
Full-Time, Night Shift (36 hours per week)
Responsibilities:
Provide respiratory care to neonatal patients in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
Assess, plan, and implement respiratory care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as ventilator management, airway management, and pulmonary function testing.
Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting care plans as needed.
Educate and support parents and family members regarding respiratory care and equipment usage.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and infection control standards.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education to stay current with advancements in neonatal respiratory care.
Requirements:
Education:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program.
Certification:
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required. Neonatal/Pediatric Respiratory Care Specialist (NPS) certification preferred.
Licensure:
Valid state license to practice as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in Washington.
Experience:
Prior experience in neonatal respiratory care preferred.
Skills:
Expertise in neonatal respiratory therapy techniques and equipment.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-stress environment.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and move patients and equipment, and to stand or walk for extended periods.
