Resident, Digital-Instructor (Off-Site Partnerships)

As a Resident Instructor, you will surround yourself with cutting-edge technology, fun-loving kids, and inspired school staff at our partnerships.
We offer competitive compensation for our Resident Instructors depending on their skills and experience. This is a Year-round opportunity that includes the option of working through our Summer Camp program as well (If interested). This position also allows for future advancement within our company.
Must have a background in STEM/STEAM and EDtech to be considered
Learn and teach things like:
Coding
Video Game Design
Minecraft Modding
Roblox Game Design and Coding
Video Production
Makerspace Activities
and much more!
Responsibilities include:
Working with Kids and Teens ages 6-14yrs old
Learning and teaching new skills while putting your own personal spin on our lessons
Creating lesson plans
Report Card Grading
Working alongside a team of teachers to create a lesson plan that compliments their curriculum and projects
Going on fun and exciting field trips
Learning behavioral skills and pedagogy strategies
Facilitating a safe and fun experience for students, Being a Role Model, and Acting Silly
Voxel Academy is located in the Cobble Hill section of Downtown Brooklyn. Our off-site locations vary in the Downtown area
Requirements
MUST live in NYC or Surrounding Areas
This is a On-Site positon and not Remote Work
Relevant experience in one or more of the skills we teach
Relevant background in EDtech field (STEM/STEAM) and/or Teaching
Enthusiasm about learning and being creative
Full availability from early September through June (Full-School Year) - Optional to continue through the summer
Adaptability when working with children and tech

Ability to work in a team
Professional attitude while working in a school enviorment (Middle School)
