We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team. As a Registered Respiratory Therapist at NCG Associates, you will play a crucial role in the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory conditions, providing essential care and support to patients.
Responsibilities
Assess and evaluate patients with respiratory ailments and develop appropriate treatment plans
Administer respiratory therapy treatments, including oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, and chest physiotherapy
Perform diagnostic tests to measure lung capacity and evaluate the effectiveness of treatment
Assist with the insertion and management of artificial airways, such as endotracheal tubes and tracheostomy tubes
Educate patients and their families about respiratory conditions, treatment options, and home care techniques
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and progress
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes
Adhere to infection control protocols and safety guidelines
Stay updated with advancements in respiratory therapy techniques and participate in continuing education activities
Requirements
Associate or bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy
Current and unrestricted license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
Knowledge of respiratory therapy techniques, equipment, and procedures
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks efficiently
Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Proficient in using electronic medical records and other relevant healthcare software
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
