Registered Respiratory Therapist Icu

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist with a focus on ICU in Plano, TX at a Level II Trauma facility. In this role, you will provide specialized respiratory care to critically ill patients in our intensive care unit.
Responsibilities:
- Assess patients' respiratory and cardiopulmonary conditions in the ICU
- Administer complex respiratory therapies and treatments
- Monitor patients' vital signs and make appropriate adjustments to therapy as needed
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Insert and manage artificial airways
- Perform and interpret pulmonary function tests and arterial blood gas analyses
- Educate patients and their families on respiratory care techniques and disease management
- Document all patient interactions and treatments accurately and thoroughly
- Respond to emergency situations and provide life support as necessary

Requirements
- Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field
- Current state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist
- Certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist in an ICU setting
- Excellent knowledge of respiratory care techniques and equipment
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-stress environment
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
