Regional Clinical Director for Skilled Nursing Facilities
We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Regional Clinical Director to oversee the clinical operations of twoskilled nursing facilities located in Ulster and Rockland Counties, New York. This role focuses on ensuring the higheststandards of clinical care and regulatory compliance across both facilities. The Ulster County facility has 180 beds, whilethe Rockland County facility specializes in Neurobiological Integration (NBI) with a 1:
1 care ratio for its 20 beds. TheRegional Clinical Director will provide clinical leadership and support to the nursing staff and administrators, drivingquality care initiatives and regulatory compliance.
As a Regional Clinical Director, you will regularly visit both facilities to provide hands-on clinical leadership andsupport. Your responsibilities will include overseeing clinical services, ensuring compliance with survey regulations, andsupporting the development and implementation of resident care programs. You will work closely with the Director ofNursing (DON) at each facility to maintain the highest standards of resident care and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Oversight:
Manage and support the clinical services at both facilities, ensuring adherence to companypolicies and regulatory requirements.
Quality of Care:
Ensure the delivery of high-quality clinical care, particularly in the specialized NBI facility,maintaining a 1:
1 care ratio.
Survey Readiness:
Prepare facilities for state and federal surveys, ensuring full compliance with all regulationsand follow-up on survey results.
Training and Development:
Provide training and support to the nursing staff and administrators, fostering aresident-centered approach to care.
Program Implementation:
Oversee the implementation of clinical programs and best practices, ensuringalignment with organizational goals.
Incident Management:
Review and follow-up on facility incident reports, developing and monitoring plans ofcorrection as needed.
Performance Improvement:
Identify clinical performance trends, develop corrective action plans, and supportfacilities in achieving quality objectives.
Consultation:
Provide clinical consultation and recommendations to improve resident care services, and preparewritten reports on areas of concern.
Qualifications and Preferred Candidate Qualities:
Must hold a current, unencumbered nursing license for New York State.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing;
BSN or MSN preferred. Advanced certification in geriatric care is aplus.
At least five years of registered nursing experience in long-term care, with regional or multi-facility managementexperience preferred.
Extensive knowledge of state and federal survey processes and regulations, with a track record of successfulsurvey outcomes.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to mentor and develop clinical staff.
Willingness to travel regularly between Ulster and Rockland Counties.
Compensation:
Salary:
$130,000 base salary, with potential for higher compensation based on experience.
