Aspire Medical Staffing is seeking a Radiation Therapy Technologist to provide services at David Grant Medical Center- Travis Air Force Base, California.

Hours:
Monday through Friday, 6:
30am - 4:
30pm
Compensation:
Base:
$65.00/hour--take home
H&
W:
$4.57/hour--allocated for medical, dental, vision, orcash in lieu of benefits
Total Compensation (Base + H&
W):
$65.00+ $4.57= $69.57/hour
PTO:
Up to 80 hours annually (accrued per pay period)
Sick Leave:
Up to 56 hours annually (accrued per pay period)

Job Duties:
● Working knowledge of current radiation therapy treatment/simulation practices.
● Independently carry out all tasks in radiation therapy under the guidance of the Chief Therapist.
● Adhere to radiation safety policies and procedures in accordance with Radiation Oncology Department.
● Accurately interprets radiation therapy treatment prescriptions.
● Consistently reproduces initial simulation set-up for daily treatment to ensure patient alignment and quality treatment.
● Accurately locates isocenter using various imaging techniques.
● Operates CT simulator, providing reproducible patient positions set-ups for daily treatments.
● Assures that all radiation therapy procedures are performed in accordance with established protocols and only upon the order of a person who is lawfully authorized to prescribe radiation therapy.
● Performs warm-up and quality control checks on the radiation therapy treatment machines prior to the first scheduled appointment. Ensures all equipment operates in a satisfactory and safe manner through daily checks, prompt reporting of defects to the physicist, and follow up to ensure repairs are satisfactorily executed.
● Experience using Varian Trubeam and ARIA.

Requirements
Qualifications:
●Degree/Education:
Certificate of Radiation Therapy from an accredited institution required. Graduate from an academic program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).
●Certification:
Current registration as a Radiation Therapist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association or Red Cross
●Experience:
Two years of experience as a Radiation Therapist under the supervision of either a board-certified radiation oncologist or a radiotherapy physicist.
●U.S. Citizenship:
HCWs performing under this contract shall be U.S. citizens.
