Job Description
The Analyst will monitor and measure disproportionality, disparate impact, evidence of bias, and diversity across the Agency. This position will gather and analyze racial equity data and track the Racial Equity Action Plan indicators to ensure the Agency stays accountable, demonstrating the effectiveness of its equity initiatives. This position will also standardize best practices for robust data collection, analysis methods, presentation of data, and ensuring accurate insights to mitigate bias in data. A successful candidate will have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, proven experience using data visualization software, and the ability to quickly analyze and succinctly summarize the information.
ESSENTIAL TASKS &
DUTIES

Perform complex data and programmatic analysis to identify the needs of the Human Services Agency’s clients and the intersection between various programs.
Utilize analytical programs like Microsoft Excel, PowerBI, Stata, and Tableau.
Develop actionable recommendations for programmatic and policy decisions by agency leadership.
Coordinate project teams spanning programs, divisions, and agencies to lead strategic initiatives.
Develop shared project goals across stakeholders and ensure successful implementation of policy and operational changes.
Create detailed work plans for program reform and improvement.
Conduct studies and evaluations to inform departmental and City policies.
Plan and execute qualitative research methodologies such as surveys, focus groups, and interviews.
Integrate quantitative and qualitative research findings to incorporate staff and client input into projects.
Prepare data and program information to support the development of legislative proposals.
Aim to enhance the efficacy of social service programs and improve client experience.
Present findings through written narrative reports, data dashboards, and presentations.
Tailor materials for various audiences, including agency leadership, staff, clients, elected officials, and the general public.
Support the development of regular reports required by local, state, and federal regulations.
