R&D Manager

Job Description
This role is essential in managing the on-site Research and Development (R&
D) team at Eurofins Clinical Enterprise, a leader in the development of innovative multiomics methods and a collaborator with academic and biopharma partners. The Research and Development Manager will be instrumental in overseeing daily R&
D operations, ensuring projects are executed effectively and align with our high standards of scientific rigor and operational excellence. The role is split evenly between laboratory and office settings, with responsibilities including managing project timelines, delegating tasks, and spearheading technical discussions essential to internal and external development projects. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Research and Development, ensuring strategic alignment with company goals and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and coordinate the daily activities of the R&
D team, ensuring projects are executed efficiently and objectives are met within timelines.
Delegate project tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel, fostering a collaborative environment and ensuring clear communication across the team.
Lead discussions on project direction, experimental design, and innovation within the scope of sequencing genetics, biopharma, and molecular biology.
Monitor and evaluate project progress, providing technical guidance and support to the R&
D team as needed.
Contribute to the development and writing of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), research reports, validation documents, and presentation materials for quarterly R&
D meetings.
Maintain and enhance technical skills and knowledge within the team, particularly in bioinformatics strategies and project management techniques.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and quality standards in the laboratory setting.
Facilitate professional development and training of team members to ensure high levels of competence and performance in R&
D processes.
