Quality Coordinator

Job Description
Summary:
As a Quality Coordinator, this position is a combination of office, shop and yard areas. The Quality Coordinator will work under the direction of the Quality Manager while assisting and supporting various departments.
Essential Functions:
Daily monitoring on the completion of inspection records and follow up with QC team in fabrication and paint shop as needed.
Preparation of the quality file for each project, in accordance with project specifications, to enable shipment and submission to the owner for final signature and payment for the work performed by Canam Bridges US, Inc.
Coordinate with shipping to inspect items during loading, take photos and provide quality control with final shipping packaging to release the load for departure from Canam.
Conduct audits in the shop on production processes to ensure the established procedures are followed for the work being performed.
Ensure the accurate fabrication and coating documents are available at corresponding work stations throughout the facility.
Conduct daily audit of QC hold points to ensure the completion of inspection before transfer of the product to next process.
Support the QC team on occasion with shop inspections as needed.
Help the quality control paint shop complete inspection documents based on inspectors' notes.
Communicate routinely throughout the day with production leaders, supervisors, QC inspectors and Quality Control Manager.
Perform other job duties as assigned by the manager.
