POSITION SUMMARY
Provide clerical support and documentation control of construction activities. Will ensure all related construction activities are performed in accordance with accepted professional and company practices and standards.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
Prepare required documentation for area of responsibility following SOP’s.
May assist engineers with field layout activities and measurement.
Copy and distribute documentation per procedures.
Receive data and compile summary reports of activities for supervisor as required.
May be required to control a specific type of material or equipment, depending on assignment.
Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Must be a CWI or NDT Level II Technician
Possess a thorough understanding of acceptable industry standards for quality relative to all plastic, metal and/or hybrid piping materials likely to be used in microelectronics/high-tech industrial construction.
Be able to read P&
IDs, isometric drawings,plan drawings, etc.
Understand welding processes, GTAW, SMAW, GMAW, FCAW
General knowledge of ASME B31.3 compliant weld certification process for the following welding processes;
SMAW, GTAW, GMAW
General knowledge of ASME B31.3 compliant weld certification process for the following welding processes BPE (automatic orbital welding for high-purity gas systems)
General knowledge of George Fischer on one or more of the following PVDF, PP, PE fusion processes;
GF Model IR 63;
GFModel IR225, Fuseal, Contain-It systems.
Ability to inspect welds on PVDF, PP, PE, CS, SS and SS Orbital
Ability to inspect glue bonded joints on PVC and CPVC systems.
Computer literate with Excel and Word and comfortable with using the customer portals to find specs and drawings associated with the project.
Must be proficient using the following tools:
Borescope, Profilometry, Dial Calipers, and basic hand tools.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to walk projects on daily basis.
Must be able to climb ladders and scaffolding to perform inspections.
Must have ability to lift 50lbs.
