As the Public Relations Manager you willlead the strategy and execution of public relations and media outreach and engagement to increase AACSB's market visibility and reputation globally and regionally. The position serves as the primary media liaison to promote the AACSB brand and advocate the value of business education and AACSB accreditation to the public including learners, educators, and employers.
How you will Contribute
Planning:
Develops and executes public relations integrated plans and strategies to support AACSB's Advocacy and Awareness and organization-wide strategic goals.
Public Relations Campaigns:
Creates brand awareness campaigns through press announcements, promotion of featured articles, media events, speaking opportunities, coordinated social campaigns with digital media manager, ensuring all communications are brand-aligned and support AACSB's key messaging and voice in the market.
Public Relations Events:
Oversees proactive media events across the Americas, EMEA, and AP regions, targeting countries as defined by AACSB outreach teams. Develop events to garner visibility and awareness through media engagement.
Media Relations:
Serves as the primary media relations contact and spokesperson advisor, developing key messaging and providing background details and data insights.
Spokesperson Preparation collaborates with internal colleagues to secure data and relevant information to develop talking points for AACSB-approved spokespersons.
Advocacy Partner Support:
Support theDevelopment of strategic advocacy partnerships and content-sharing agreements with key industry organizations and influencers aligned with AACSB advocacy initiatives.
Media Monitoring and Tracking:
Monitors public opinion through media scans, social listening, and market research of emerging trends and topics in business education globally and regionally. Informs Advocacy colleagues and Executive leadership team of media trends. Develops and monitors key metrics and dashboards to measure the impact of AACSB public relations, messaging, and thought leadership content to inform and shape future strategy.
Crisis Communications:
Collaborates with the Leadership Team on the planning and response to issues or crises as necessary to maintain, protect, and enhance AACSB's brand reputation.
Agency Management:
Effectively motivates and oversees external agencies or other individual/specialized consultants to achieve communications goals and maximize investment.
Budget Management:
Monitors and manages budgets related to global public relations activities. Contributes to the overall departmental strategic planning and annual budgeting process.
Requirements
Fluency in the English language
Five plus (5+) years in a role focused on communications, media relations, and public relations
Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, marketing, or related field
Ability to travel up to 30% annually, including international travel
Exceptional design thinking skills, strong project management capabilities, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Eight (8) years of relevant experience
Master’s degree
Fluency in additional languages
