Job Description
A Public Health Site &
Event Lead with OEM will fill many critical roles that require a hands-on solution. This role will serve as the primary assessor of temporary facilities and as relationship manager with owner/operators and with City administrative departments. Work locations may include vaccine or testing clinics, isolation and quarantine sites, the Medical Examiner’s Office, the Disaster Logistics Site, or transporting people and things in the field.
The Site &
Event Lead will conductday-to-day operations of research and evaluation of locations across the city. Activities may include contacting facility owners and operators, conducting inspections or feasibility tours, tending to site agreements, facilitating correspondence between site owners and the city, scheduling and arranging events at sites, managing a database of potential Site and conducting event support operations with the Office’s logistics team. This position will work closely with external stakeholders as well as the City’s Department of Public Health, Law Department, Office of Risk Management, and Recovery Office.
Essential Functions
Develop and ascertain facility requirements for various uses.
Develop rapport with facility owners and operators.
Research and conduct site assessments for Site to be used for various functions.
Ensure that sites meet Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and other access and equity considerations or that acceptable accommodations are made.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with other external stakeholders, support the team to reach common goals.
Ensure that contractual obligations are defined and met.
With appropriate timelines, follow up on the status of various agreements.
Assist in the planning of specific events and serve to communicate the desires of the event producer with the site owner and the City’s administrative functions.
Consult with Logistics Lead to ensure that sites have the appropriate operational capabilities or that the necessary equipment and supplies are available.
Provide administrative support, serve as the point of contact for the city and vendors, act as the liaison between the Office and clients throughout an identified use.
Manage a database of available spaces and appropriate use agreements.
Conduct timely correspondence within and outside of the Office.
Perform other duties as assigned.
