Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Conducts diagnostic testing for suspected neurodevelopmental disorders, sometimes referred to as “autism rule-out"
, for children ages 2-18using ADOS-2 and other assessment tools (MIGDAS-2, BASC-3, SRS-2, Vineland-3)
Analyze results data and write clear evaluation reports
Meet with families to explain diagnostic evaluation findings
Draft comprehensive reports detailing all identified symptoms and areas of impairment related to confirmed ASD diagnoses
Work closely with Diagnostic Clinic staff on customer service for evaluations and meetings
Stay up to date on best practices for autism diagnostic assessments and ensure accurate implementation
Perform other assigned psychological services (i.E., group therapy) as directed by the EVP of Clinical Operations.

Demonstrated clinical competencies essential to performing diagnostic duties
Technologically competent with systems/tools utilized
Communicates effectively verbally and written with internal and external stakeholders

Thrives in fast-paced, high-volume clinic environment by prioritizing timeliness and accuracy
Patient and empathetic when working with patients and their families, especially when delivering a diagnosis
Work Environment
The Psychologist will work at our diagnostic clinic. This position is eligible to work remote when assessments are not scheduled.
Travel
The Psychologist will occasionally travel to other UNIFI clinics to conduct assessments. They will also occasionally travel for in-person meetings, conferences, or training. Travel time will be paid for by UNIFI. Mileage can be expensed.
Experience and Education
Licensed Psychologist in the state of Indiana
Endorsed Health Service Provider in Psychology (HSPP) by Indiana psychology board
Minimum of one-year professional experience with the assessment and treatment of autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders
Physical Requirements
The Psychologist must be able to move around the office and assessment rooms to conduct evaluations and meet with patients and families. This includes activities like sitting, standing, bending, and kneeling. Sufficient dexterity and hand-eye coordination to operate assessment materials, testing kits, and office equipment like computers, phones, etc. The role will involve lifting or carrying light materials. The Psychologist will be trained in crisis management procedures and must be physically able to implement if necessary. However, the patient’s caregivers will primarily be expected to manage their child’s challenging behavior. Lastly, the Psychologist must have adequate sensory ability to conduct necessary visual observations and auditory communications during diagnostic sessions. Includes sufficient vision and hearing to reliably perform testing duties and interact with patients/families.
