Overview:
The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing electrical projects from inception to completion. This role requires strong project management skills, a solid understanding of electrical engineering principles, and the ability to manage project financials. The ideal candidate will have experience in the electrical contracting industry and a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop comprehensive project plans, including defining scope, objectives, and deliverables.
Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
Schedule and manage project timelines, ensuring timely completion of milestones.
Prepare and manage project budgets, including cost estimation and resource allocation.
Monitor project expenditures and financial performance, addressing any variances.
Provide regular financial reports and updates to senior management.
Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Ensure all projects comply with safety regulations, quality standards, and industry best practices.
Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality of work.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining clear and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
Address any issues or concerns promptly to ensure client satisfaction.
Lead and motivate project teams, ensuring they have the resources and support needed to succeed.
Delegate tasks effectively and provide guidance and oversight to team members.
Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
Prepare and present project status reports to senior management and clients.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management within the electrical contracting or construction industry.
PMP or CAPM certification preferred.
Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
Proven experience in managing project budgets and financials.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Micrsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
