THE POSITION
We are seeking a skilled Process and Project Production Engineer to join our team and contribute to the enhancement of technology and quality systems within tire and tire component manufacturing. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the implementation of new technology and quality systems to improve output and quality. This includes enhancing current manufacturing processes and industrializing new processes, machines, and measuring systems. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and be able to adequately convey technical information across all levels of the organization.
Responsibilities:
Project Coordination:
Identify improvement potentials in tire/component production and material handling.
Develop and propose concepts, including feasibility and cost/benefit evaluation.
Lead machine projects, including requirement documentation, design, supplier discussions, FMEA, and release criteria.
Industrialize new processes, machines, and machine components.
Conduct process evaluation, including scrap rates, process capability studies (CPK), and time studies.
Ensure complete implementation, including work instructions, operator training, preventive maintenance, and quality monitoring.
Lead a project-based team comprising internal colleagues and external vendors.
Industrialization:
Industrialize new products, materials, components, processes, and machines.
Manage changes to machine recipes.
Support and evaluate R&
D trials, including generating trial reports.
Manage complexity within projects.
Quality Tracking &
Improvement (Existing Processes):
Analyze, report, and improve scrap in the production of materials, components, and tires.
Conduct troubleshooting in serial production manufacturing.
Apply problem-solving techniques such as root cause analysis, lessons learned documentation, and FMEA.
Initiate, follow, and conclude trial reports.
Conduct process capability studies.
Additional Responsibilities:
Maintain a problem log and make appropriate entries.
Revise procedures as needed.
Conduct meetings such as scrap reviews, employee evaluations, and toolboxes.
