Job Description:
Mercury Group Staffing isseeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Engineer to join a team and lead the installation of telecommunications equipment in central office or customer premise locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical or electrical engineering, with a focus on telecommunications infrastructure and equipment.
Roles &
Responsibilities:
Conduct site surveys and project-related meetings.
Develop detailed installation specifications and proposals.
Select materials and perform material and labor cost analysis.
Provide technical and field engineering support.
Interact with customer technical representatives.
Assure adherence to company and customer standards and practices.
Participate in quality activities for project engineering work.
Interface directly with customer engineers on project scope and content.
Provide specific detail engineering information to customers.
Assist in resolving technical issues.
Serve as the primary point of contact for the customer on projects.
Act as a technical leader on assigned projects.
Minimum Qualifications:
BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
3-5 years of project engineering experience in the telecommunications industry.
Central Office experience.
Knowledge of telecommunications transport technologies and central office environments and standards.
Ability to understand and work to strict customer standards.
Excellent organizational, verbal, written, and telephone communication skills.
Acute sensitivity to customer needs and overall customer service.
Functional knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Access.
Functional knowledge of basic computer aided design (CAD) drawing and editing software.
