The Henrico Education Foundation (HEF) plays a pivotal role in developing and implementing high-quality programming for the students attending Henrico County Public Schools. We contribute towards the educational success and well-being of our community’s youth.
We are looking for a dynamic Program Coordinator to oversee the administration and operations of five afterschool Programs.
Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee the administration and operation of multiple Programs to include implementing policy and procedures, planning, promoting, implementing, hiring and training staff, risk management, and ongoing program evaluation.
Ensure that Programs and Center Directors are following and enforcing policies and procedures in the Employee Handbook
Ensure that Programs and Center Directors are planning program sessions in alignment with Program expectations and grant expectations
Collaborate with Center Director and school staff to promote the Program to meet enrollment/attendance expectations
Collaborate with Center Directors to hire staff and train staff to effectively perform job expectations
Continuously evaluate Programs to ensure effective operations
Ensure daily operations adhere to all state government, local, CLC grant, and Henrico Education Foundation regulations, policies and procedures, guidelines, and standards through regular site visits, which may include licensing and grant monitoring visits.
Serve in direct delivery of program as needed.
Assist part-time Center Directors in the management of their Program site
Develop and maintain positive relationships with Henrico County Public School staff, including prompt and professional communication, appropriate use of facilities, and positive collaboration.
Manage multiple Center Directors which includes hiring, performance management, coaching, task management, quality control, etc.
Partner with Center Directors on hiring for their Programs, and ensure Programs are staffed to be in ratio
Ensure that each Program operates in a fiscally sound manner staying within standard allotments
Partner and collaborate with organizations whose mission is aligned with the Henrico Education Foundation to meet the needs of community children and families to include the FACE department, CIS, school PTA programs and participate in Impact Meeting or other activities/events.
Actively participate in Principal meetings, Program bi-annual meetings and support related outcomes
Support Henrico Education Foundation initiatives to help meet organization goals such as attending and participating in annual fundraising and Board events.
Build and maintain positive relationships with parents, vendors, volunteers, staff, and community.
Interpret, communicate, and promote the Henrico Education Foundation mission, goals, and objectives to school leaders, employees, students, and community.
Responds to all family and community inquiries and complaints in a timely manner
Requirements
Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Meet the requirements of Program Director as detailed in the Virginia Regulations for Licensed Child Day Centers. (must have at least one of the following)
A graduate degree in a child-related field such as, but not limited to, elementary education, nursing, or recreation from a college or university and six months of programmatic experience.
An endorsement or bachelor's degree in a child-related field such as, but not limited to, elementary education, nursing, or recreation from a college or university and one year of programmatic experience.
Forty-eight semester hours or 72 quarter hours of college credit from a college or university of which 12 semester hours or 18 quarter hours are in child-related subjects and one year of programmatic experience.
Management experience including hiring and on-the-job training and coaching
Experience working in a licensed childcare facility
Experience working with students in school or Program settings
Knowledge of licensed day care facility operations
Knowledge of positive youth development approaches to the academic and social development
Ability to build and manage relationships with various stakeholders
Adaptable to change and multi-task
Excellent communication skills
Excellent leadership skills
Team player
Dependable
Working knowledge of Windows and MS Office Operations
Benefits
Salary Range:
$49k - $55k
