POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Production Manager, manage all production related processes, supervision of assigned supervisory staff and provide guidance for both departmental and individual employee development.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Actively manage the Production Supervisors.
Along with the Production Supervisors, develop daily plans to achieve the productionschedule per production unit based on assigned manning vs. standard hours.
Effectively manage company resources to maximize achievement of company and plant goals in all areas (financial, customer service, innovation, learning) while maintaining strong working relationships.
Actively work to develop team for the purpose of enhancing their effectiveness in daily operations as well as to prepare them for future opportunities within the organization.
Administer company policies and procedures fairly and equitably to maintain standards established for safety, quality, and overall company satisfaction.
Champion LEAN concept implementation and sustainability to include 5S, A3, PDCA, error proofing, Poka-yoke, etc.
Lead process improvement activities to reduce cost, increase safety, and improve product quality.
Prepare and administer evaluations for team members.
Consistently practice and enforce safe work habits and drive those habits throughout the organization.
Other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university
1-2 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
4-5 years previous supervisory experience
Must have good people skills
Must have good communication skills
Must be able to monitor and control many different tasks
Must have mid-level computer skills
Must have elementary mechanical aptitude
Must be able to read blueprints
Must be able to stand for long periods of time
Must be able to climb on and around equipment
Must be able to do bending and stooping form the waist down
