Production Expeditor

The Production Expediter is responsible for ensuring that the customer satisfaction is achieved through the on-time delivery of defect-free product that meets all requirements and specifications by tracking, prioritizing and moving product and materials through production processes.

What you’ll do:
Meet with Program Management, Scheduling and Planning teams daily to update production priorities.
Update Shop Floor Control (SFC) to reflect changes to global priorities.
Work with Engineers, Technicians and other SME’s to craft solutions and remove barriers to continue building and moving boards and assemblies.
Negotiate with coordinators and managers to prioritize global requirements within manufacturing cells.
Communicate potential delays and schedule misses immediately to initiate planning and communication with critical parties
Use Shop Floor Control, SMARTer, Fourth Shift, and Agile to accomplish critical product expedites.
Use Fourth Shift System to check on and follow-up on part shortages, due dates and order status.
Physically track and expedite manufacturing builds between locations as needed to meet customer needs
Regularly communicates with:
Procurement, Customer Product Specialist, Manufacturing Managers, Leads, Coordinators, Test Personnel, Shipping, Receiving, Stockroom and others.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
What you’ll need:
Advanced proficiency in computer systems, including MS Excel (vlookups, etc), Office, and Outlook
High-level critical thinking, analysis, attention to detail, organization, ability to multi-task and learn quickly
Demonstrated self-motivation, problem solving abilities, team spirit and a “hands on” mentality
Thoroughness and an ability to meet deadlines without sacrificing accuracy or quality
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills with a variety of internal customers.
Able to work in self-directed manner with minimal supervision.
Highly organized and able to stay focused and prioritize rapidly.
Demonstrated ability to understand the complexity of multi-level board manufacturing.
Ability to work with a high sense of urgency and work overtime when needed
Education and/or Experience
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office products, databases and MRP systems.
Understands MRP principals.
Preferred Qualifications
Technical or Engineering Certificate or Degree
