Job Description
is hiring a Product Managerto contribute to our team in our La Vergne, TN office. The Product Manager identifies new products and services, for publishers using Lightning Source’s Enterprise and IngramSpark platforms. You’ll develop and maintain direct communication and feedback loops with IT, Ops, Sales, and Sales Operations teams at LS as well as publishers. Finally, you will have the opportunity to work closely with the VP of Content Acquisition, the VP of Lightning Source Operations, and the Director, Product Development and Sales Operations to identify and scope new products and services for publishers as well as internal services and products.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or year-for-year equivalent experience
5 years of product management experience
3 years of project management experience
Preferred Skills:
Book industry experience or equivalent industry experience
Prior product and/or project management platform experience
Prior experience managing an Internet platform
Key Responsibilities:
Product development responsibilities for LS and IngramSpark platforms and services including management of the new product and services list maintained by IT, LS Operations, and Sales.
Serves as the main liaison between Sales and LS Manufacturing and Operations for product related needs.
Develops and maintains a defined list of potential new product and service offerings researching and scoping as necessary.
Works with other parts of the organization to facilitate new products. Examples include ICG finance, IT, Operations, EDI, Marketing, Digital, and the Book Company.
Manages communication of project status to the Director of Sales Operations, the VP of Content Acquisition, and the Content Acquisition sales management team.
Ensure, when necessary, companywide awareness either directly or indirectly through the Customer Support and Marketing team for projects that pertain to the end customer.
Work with the global sales team to facilitate and manage pipelines for potential new products.
Lead the monthly New Products meetings which includes sales, Ops, IT, and support.
Partners with internal stakeholders (Sales, IPS, Support, and LS Ops) to identify Enterprise and Spark product development needs.
Perform such other duties requested by the Director, Product Development and Sales Operations.
Manages key relationships with Pre-Media, Sales, Finance, Shipping, Production, EDI, CoreSource, GAP, IPS and 3PL as needed to communicate requirements and integrate new products in a seamless process.
Creates and manages reporting to be used in the weekly management cycle.
