Job Description
We are currently seeking a Product Manager to join our team! The Product Manager is a key position within the Marketing Team at ITW Contamination Control Electronics. This position leverages first-hand understanding of customer needs, product and applications expertise, excellent communication skills, and leadership instincts to drive product development activities and decisions to advance ITW Contamination Control Electronics’ position in the market as a premium supplier of precision cleaning products.
The primary responsibilities of the Product Manager include working closely with cross functional teams throughout the product development process;
and developing and implementing strategic product plans to meet revenue and profit targets for the product lines defined. This is achieved through customer and applications understanding via personal product experience and voice of the customer research. The Product Manager is also responsible for providing regular communication, support, and training to sales teams/distributors as needed.
This position reports to the Marketing Director and is based in Kennesaw GA.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Utilize data analytics and market research to manage the entire life cycle of the defined product line within the business from strategic planning, product definition, tactical launch activities and end of life activities.
Operate as the internal voice of our customer across development teams, (primarily R&
D and Marketing) throughan understanding of market requirements, product definition, training and launch activities.
Establish product requirements that ensure a strong and clear value proposition for the product by customer segment.
Coordinate and participate in on-going Innovation/Voice of the Customer exercises. Combine this information with a business case analysis to define product or business requirements.
Work with Research and Development to perform testing on competitor products to understand differentiation;
and identify potential areas for portfolio gaps or product improvements.
Perform market research and track data (unit volumes, bookings and margin) to understand business trends and make informed decisions for current and future product direction.
Develop core messaging and positioning for the defined product line.
Create and maintain branding, marketing plans, advertising, and sales tools including brochures, product descriptions, application notes, web content, etc.
Set pricing and general sales policy for the product line.
Assist Customer Service and Sales teams with technical and customer support.
Interface with internal departments including R&
D, sales, marketing and support teams to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are achieved.
Leverage aspects of the ITW Business Model – 80/20, USa, PLS and cost savings – in all aspects of product management and decision making
Additional duties and tasks as assigned.
