Position

The Procurement Specialist EX3 position in the Remanufactured Parts group acts as the primary liaison with AHM’s ATR remanufacturing facilities to ensure availability of transmissions to our dealers. The specialist will be responsible for the forecasting of monthly requirements, forecasting seed stock buys at build out, forecasting and planning future model launch timing at the remanufacturing facility, ordering and expediting of finished transmissions. The specialist has a strong knowledge of our supplier network, remanufacturing operations and internal Honda operations. In addition, the specialist will continue to develop initiatives to improve the remanufacturing facilities performance. The specialist’s responsibilities will also include:
Continuing maintenance and monthly distribution of the forecast, weekly priority, review to ensure adequate on hand inventory, developing effective working relationships with the remanufacturing facilities and Honda transmission factories, expediting finished transmissions, placement and follow through on purchase order and intra-group projects. Overall, the remanufacturing facilities assigned to the specialist will have an extremely high level of impact on Divisional objectives.

In addition, The Reman Specialist EX3 position is the primary contact with NKP to coordinate remanufactured transmission (ATR) kitting, packaging operations and total ATR and small mechanical parts core management. This entails overseeing core receipt criteria, core storage management and annual contract negotiation for core collection, software application, pallet and container purchases. Validates and tracks monthly ATR and mechanical core collection invoices, conducts cost analysis for contract development and provides recommendations on ATR returnable container replacement requirements. Overseas application charts for ATR dealer services and customer pay order fulfilment, issues IN bulletin for ATR availability.

Additional requirements include support to the Powertrain Dealer Services Group regarding core-related issues, returnable container management, and special projects to support the Remanufactured operations.

Qualifications

Required Work Experience:

6+ years’ experience in a procurement capacity
3-5 years inventory planning

Required Education:

BA/BS in Business, Logistics Management (or equivalent experience)
