Job Description
Apex Clean Energy is seeking a Procurement Coordinator to join our Procurement Team to assist with preparing and coordinating the development and implementation of renewable energy projects through purchasing goods and services from external resources critical to project success. Reporting to the Director of Project Management within the Project Management Department, this position plays a vital part in the company’s overall business strategy as it requires strategic planning and analysis to acquire these goods and services at the best possible value.
Our ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role or function and bring knowledge of renewable energy systems, engineering principles, project management processes, construction management processes, and procurement. Knowledge of renewable energy photovoltaic and battery storage systems high desirable. Experience with project preconstruction processes are essential.
Responsibilities
Assists the procurement team by qualifying suppliers to ensure that they comply with Apex’s corporate policies.
Prepares formal requests for proposals for goods and services.
Evaluates project, consultant, and equipment proposals. Award and reject suppliers.
Monitors the supplier’s performance in terms of delivery and pricing by interfacing with other internal Apex departments and team members.
Provides feedback to the Project Management department and consultants/vendors.
Has knowledge of renewable energy systems, engineering principles, project management processes, construction management processes.
Has experience with project preconstruction processes.
Analyze current market trends, risk, and price.
Develop and maintain strong relationships within the renewable energy industry
Communicate project and equipment status with multiple stakeholders
