Process Development Scientist - Group Leader

Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Process Development Scientist Group Leader will be responsible for performing multiple tasks within the Process Development group in support of biologics manufacturing process. The Leader will perform a variety of responsibilities in both a team and individual setting. This position is an on-site position and will be leading a team of 3 individual contributors.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Developing and/or improving pharmaceutical (biologics) manufacturing processes
Planning experiments, routine analytical measurements operating filtration systems, analyzing data, and writing reports
Protein purification process development and improvement(i) Development of scale down models,
(ii) Evaluation of new technologies
Statistical data evaluation
Perform routine maintenance and calibration on critical instrumentation
Buffer preparation
Operate automated processes including process monitoring
LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBITIES:
Supports and monitors performance of team of analysts
May participate in new hire interviews
Supports the on-boarding process of new employees
Participates in training of other employees.
Performs peer review of data.
