Summary
The Prep Cook helps with station assignments, maintains place, and prepares hot and cold foods for the restaurant according to Chef’s specifications.

Essential Job Functions
- Set up station and mise-enplace to Chefs specifications
- Cook food to order
- Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat etc.
- Undertake basic cooking duties such as reducing sauces, parboiling food etc.
- Prepare simple dishes such as salads, entrees etc.
- May be involved in sauteing, grilling, and roasting stations
- Help organize kitchen items including, dry goods, kitchen equipment, storage containers, cleaning supplies, and food deliveries
- Set up, work, and breakdown station
- Maintain station cleanliness throughout shiftand help washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash
- Submit production needs for the following day by shift end
- Other duties as assigned
