Position Overview
Primary responsibilities will include the investment and monitoring of client accounts.
The ideal candidate is process-oriented, attentive to details, and able to act upon deadlines. They will also demonstrate a team-oriented attitude and be able to communicate and work effectively with multiple stakeholders, including:
clients, custodians, management, and other departments. The candidate will share a desire to provide outstanding service to clients, which will be accomplished in this role through the effective implementation of the firm’s investment strategy.
Core Responsibilities
Determining appropriate trades for client portfolios according to client investment objectives, firm investment strategy, and portfolio manager instructions
Ongoing monitoring of client portfolios to ensure compliance with each client’s stated investment objectives
Executing trades with third party brokers
Facilitating post-trade allocation and processing support with brokers and custodians
Assisting in investment research projects, including investment fund due diligence as well as economic and capital markets topics
Working in a team environment and providing consultation to advisors and senior investment professionals in formulating appropriate responses to client requests
Other duties may also be assigned
Requirements
Education &
Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or Statistics preferred. Please include GPA in resume.
3+ years of experience in the financial services industry preferred
Series 65 license or attainment upon employment is required
Willingness to obtain the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation
Knowledge and Technical Skills:
Proficiency in business applications, such as Microsoft Office suite, specifically with respect to financial, statistical, and reference functions
Understanding of investment concepts and taxation
Key Competencies:
Desire to have a career in the investment advisory industry
Responsiveness to feedback and effective time management, prioritization of tasks, and overall organization
Strong written and verbal skills, including the ability to prepare materials clearly and effectively for senior level audiences
Strategic thinker that possesses excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
