JOB OVERVIEW
Forefront is seeking a Planner Estimator to provide support to a base operations support services contractin Kodiak, AK! This position provides fast, accurate estimates for price and delivery requirements including labor, materials, and subcontract costs.
Researching the cost of items such as materials, transport, labor and equipment.
Establishing and maintaining relationships with contractors and vendors.
Getting quotes from suppliers and contractors within a specified time frame.
Assessing the risk levels associated with a project.
Preparing and submitting quotations and details of costs for work to be done.
Assisting with bids for new contracts and supporting the activities of buyers.
Monitoring the costs at the different stages of a project to ensure it stays within the estimated costs.
Liaise with material suppliers and sub-contract shops to obtain the best price and delivery.
Accurately reviewing customer specifications and drawings.
Liaise with all relevant departments regarding design issues.
Provide technical assistance to sales department with special part enquiries.
Input to production schedules to allow fast response to urgent customer delivery requirements through communication with all departments.
All safety rules and regulations in accordance with the organization’s HSE Management System, to be conformed to at all times.
Ensure that all tasks carried out by team meet company QMS procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned!
