DeltaCare, LC, a leading therapy staffing solutions company, is currently seeking a motivated and passionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our team on a PRN (as needed) basis in Albany, GA. As a PRN PTA, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population in various settings, primarily hospital, providing high-quality care. You will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT). You will assist with the implementation of individualized treatment plans, monitor patient progress, and work closely with our team to ensure the best outcomes for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the implementation of treatment plans
- Providing hands-on therapy to patients, including exercises, stretches, and mobility training
- Monitoring patient progress
- Educating patients and their families
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment
- Communicating effectively with the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients
- Adhering to all state and federal regulations and guidelines for physical therapy practice
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program from an accredited institution
- Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant
- BLS certification
- 1 year of experience as a PTA is preferred. New grads are welcome to apply
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work PRN (as needed) shifts, including weekends and evenings if needed
