Trac recruiting - West Palm Beach
new offer (27/06/2024)

job description

We are seeking a Physical Therapist (Pelvic Floor) for a full-time and direct hire role for one of our amazing partners in South Florida. This is a Monday-Friday role with NO weekends!
They are a growing private practice that is dedicated to the care and treatment of both male and female pelvic floor conditions, and they are exclusively focused on the pelvic floor. They have multiple locations in South Florida with plans to expand nationally, and they have a clinical model where all patients are seen in a spa-like setting for a full hour by their therapist.
Responsibilities:
Demonstrated comprehensive clinical knowledge and performance in all aspects of the patient and client relationship.
Maintain established productivity standards, and participate in outcomes tracking and monitoring
Comply with all regulatory guidance that includes HIPAA, Medicare rules and billing and coding guidance.
Participate in professional development, educational activities and attend staff meetings.
Required Experience
Physical Therapy License.
Ortho and at least 1 year of Pelvic Floor hands on experience working with multiple patients.
Commitment to personal continuing education and education of both the medical and patient populations they serve.
All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status. You must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
My notes:
Role:
This is a full time Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist for both men and women. It would be reporting to the Founders for now. They are looking for clinical leaders or people that want to grow into a clinical leader as well. They must have exposure to manual therapy which includes manual pelvic floor exams with their hands on a patient’s body for external and internal exams (vaginal and/or rectal). They don’t want someone that is just exercise based.
Must have skills:
The first choice is to find someone with ortho physical therapy and experience with pelvic floor therapy experience. They second choice is someone with 10+ years of ortho therapy that wants to learn pelvic floor. The 3rd choice is a new grad that wants to learn. Might consider someone that has a 3-month pelvic internship, but they must have hands on experience.
Why leave a hospital and why work there? They are trying to define what the center of excellence looks like for pelvic care in our country, their office and in the community. They support personal and professional growth, and they want to build a reputation where people want to work for them. You will get to know patients on a first name basis and be much more connected with the team and patients. It’s more of a spa environment, rather than a sterile hospital. They are also not as strict with clock in and clock out. Some hospitals make you clock out if you don’t have a patient. You will strictly focus on pelvic floor therapy and won’t have to help in other areas. Most therapist start at hospital and then move to a private practice. They get to see a different patient population and get more elevated experience.
Why is it open:
They are growing in Palm Beach Gardens and other locations, but they have someone leaving to go to a hospital, so they at least need to backfill them.
Personalities:
They need someone with great bedside manners, and who is a continuous learner. A good team player and a good culture fit that can work on a small team. They just be able to project confidence &
competence. They must be delicate and soft and they can’t be too rigid.
Salary/Bonus:
someone new with 1-2 years of experience should make about $85K and someone with 3-4 years in pelvic should be around $95K. More or less experience could vary the compensation.
Onsite/Remote:
Open to out of state and would pay relo. They will work onsite at one of their locations. Office hours are 8-5 or 9-6.
Location/travel:
palm beach gardens and Stuart is priority but open to Boca as well.
Interview process:
They will meet with Beixi for fit and to sell them on the role. Then they’ll meet with Gail &
Sharon (clinical founders) and that will be in person.
Is this full time and are they paid hourly or salary (job description says 20-40 hours)? Full time or part time. Full time is salaried and 40 hours. They are also open to 30+ hours to get benefits and salary (75% of salary). They would consider Per diem, which they’d be paid per patient. It would be hourly and they would guarantee them 3-4 patients per day.
Is there anyone in consideration? They just hired Tiffany Grigsby and I let her know that I’m set up to speak with her on Thursday. She’s concerned about that and asked me to find out how soon she can start (she told them 30 days) and if they have other things going on.Responded:
Briana McCormick in Jupiter
Lissa Barochin
Belinda Padron in Miami was not willing to relocate
Beth Harris (they’ve been speaking with for a while)
Previously interviewed:
Devora Sklar (The last we heard from her is that she wanted $60 / hour on a salaried position – which is off market – we reached out for further clarification and have not heard back)
Caitlyn Mitchell (commute)
Erin Dinismore (she was a while ago and could still be worth reaching out to)
Gabriella Hochster (wanted Boca)
Alyssa Fasino (not qualified)
Sydney Pincus (Wanted Boca / Miami)
Ashley Watts (became pregnant and withdrew)
Angela Hayes (not qualified)
LI Response to them directly:
Lyssa Barochin
Hannah Graham
Carolyn Tremblay
Sara Giraldo
Pam Downey (I would hold off on her since she’s a connect with our founders)
Vanessa de la Vega
Additionally, the below people would not be a fit based on reputation / priors:
Jodi Berger
Beth Orio
Charlie Felty
Erica Gould
Katie Usher
Clinical Leadership role:
This is a confidential role that we should handle very gently. The new CEO took over the company from the clinical founders in March 2024 and they are staying until at least March 2025. One is ok existing, but one doesn’t want to let go as much. It’s on the DL for now, but they would hire before March, because they want a good transition. This role requires management of the clinician team and managing the transition of their founders. The vision of this role is someone who is truly a clinical partner that can help with their growth and be a true partner to the CEO as they grow the business. It will be a high touch role at the beginning with their offices, but over time, they will have clinic managers at each location. They will be traveling to different offices and new locations to make sure team is set up and any training needed. They will have a very strong hand in the training process and will help onboard talent as they come in. They should be a strong recruiting partner. They will also help with the marketing piece and help them meet with physicians in new markets to market their services. They want someone who is excited about growing a multiple clinic platform. They should’ve been a pelvic floor therapist for 10+ years (maybe a little less). It’s a new role in the industry. Would like them to have some management experience. Right hand for growing the org. Not sure of salary but thinking $150K-$170K. Maybe equity.
