Physical Therapist Assistant

Requirements
Associate's degree or diploma from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
Licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant
Prior experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant preferred
Proficiency in physical therapy techniques, assessments, and interventions
Assist with evaluations and contribute to treatment plan development
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment
Compassion and empathy towards patients
Familiarity with electronic medical records systems
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Responsibilities
Assist Physical Therapists in conducting evaluations and assessments of patients' physical abilities and needs
Implement prescribed components of treatment plans under the guidance of a Physical Therapist
Administer therapeutic exercises and techniques to enhance patients' mobility, strength, and functional abilities
Assist patients in utilizing specialized equipment and modalities for rehabilitation
Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive patient care
Monitor and document patient progress, promptly reporting any changes to the supervising Physical Therapist
Educate patients and their families on strategies for at-home care
Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient records
Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe environment
