Job Summary:
As a Pharmacy Technician III, performs both baseline duties (including those of a Pharmacy Technician II) as well as specialized technician duties as determined by departmental leadership. Able to train new pharmacy technicians. Competent to staff in at least two specialized areas/locations as determined by departmental leadership.

Qualifications:

-High school diploma, certificate, or equivalent combination of work experience and education.

-Active National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB) required.

-Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the District of Columbia Board of Pharmacy is required.

-Minimum of 2 years of pharmacy technician experience in applicable specialized institutional pharmacy areas areas as determined by departmental leadership.

-Sterile Compounding experience is also required.

Shift:
Full-Time, Evening Shift, Sunday-Thursday, 1:
30 PM - 10:
00 PM. Limited holiday and weekend work is also required. Training would occur on the day shift (first 6 weeks or so) before applicant can be transferred to the permanent evening shift.
