Pharmacist

Responsible for the timely and accurate verification of all medication orders and safely prepares medications and other pharmaceuticals for dispensing to patients. Researches, educates and communicates drug information to physicians, house staff, nurses, other healthcare providers and patients/families. Is knowledgeable of automated medication dispensing process/reports and adheres to all applicable departmental and hospital policies/procedures.
Requirements
Experience:
O Must have 1-year ofhospital post-grad pharmacyexperience
O Experience with computer operations, unit dose drug dispensing systems, IV admixture and parenteral chemotherapy admixture experience is preferred.
Education and Training:
O Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited college or pharmacy.
License, Certification &
Registration:
O MAPHARM - Licensed MA Pharmacist.
Other Requirements:
O Must demonstrate ability to work independently without direct supervision isrequired,
within established policy.
O Must be capable of supervising the work of support personnel.
