We’re looking for our next experienced People &
Culture Talent/BusinessPartner to join our P&
C Team. Reporting to theVP, People &
Culture, you’ll be supporting our US-based leaders and employees, ensuring we are set up for success as the company continues to grow.
A day in the life as a P&
C Talent Partner:
Leadership Partnership:
Partner and support the exceptional US-based leadership team to provide guidance, training, and coaching on implementing P&
C programs, such as:
Team member performance success
Workforce changes
Mid-year and year end performance reviews
Leadership Toolkit resources and leadership training
Department engagement survey result action plans
Employee Engagement:
Partner with Office Administrator to create engaging and creative monthly office and remote connection activities
Participate in the CloudStorm Cares philanthropic initiatives and activities
Compliance:
Act as the subject matter expert for employment, human rights, and health and safety legislation for the states in which we have employees (currently Texas, North Carolina, Louisianna, Illinois, California, Minnesota)
Maintain and continually update the US employee handbook, ensuring compliance
Determine which US employees are exempt and which are non-exempt
Participate in the annual SOC compliance audit
Collaborate with Employee Experience Coordinator to ensure employee documentation is signed, filed, and updated in HRIS as necessary
Tools &
Systems:

Act as the subject matter expert and administrator for TriNet (PEO HRIS)
Act as an administrator for other HR related tools:
BambooHR (HRIS)
Sharepoint (file &
information sharing)
Lattice (performance management)
Certn (background checks)
Workable (ATS)
Culture Monkey (surveys)
Udemy (learning)
Onboarding:
Partner with leaders to ensure effective onboarding practices are followed
Lead the onboarding sessions for new US-based team members
Conduct new US team member check-ins and review and summarize onboarding survey results
Collaborate with IT on new team member equipment and setup
Offboarding:
Partner with leaders to support resignation acceptance, terminations, and communication plans, ensuring compliance and proper documentation
Conduct exit interviews and review exit survey results
Ensure all documentation is recorded and that HRIS, Payroll, and other systems are updated accordingly
Talent Acquisition:
Support full-cycle Talent Acquisition when open requisitions reach capacity for TA team and act as recruitment backup when Talent Acquisition team is out of office
Salary and Benefits:
Gather salary benchmark data for US market
Maintain familiarity with internal job level, salary ranges, and competencies
Participate and support leaders in the annual salary review
Act as the subject matter expert for US benefits
If the below describe your knowledge, experience and character, this role could be for you:

I have comprehensive knowledge of Human Resources best practices and state specific employment legislation for Texas and experience in understanding legislation for other states outside of Texas. Bonus points because I have knowledge of employment legislation in North Carolina, Louisianna, Minnesota, Illinois, or California.
I gained my knowledge through 3+ years of progressive HR experience and have acted as a direct Business Partner to leaders of all levels.
I have experience in the SaaS or high-tech industry.
I have experience with HRIS administration. Bonus points because I have used BambooHR.
I’m familiar with benefits and 401k administration.
I have experience in direct talent acquisition tasks.
I get most excited about partnering strategically with leaders to improve employee experience and engagement.
I understand the balance of acting as an advocate to employees, leaders, and the overall business.
I have a proven ability to take initiative and independently make decisions appropriate for my role.
I’m willing to occasionally travel and have a valid passport and no travel restrictions that limit my ability to cross the border between Canada and the USA.
I thrive in an agile environment that is constantly changing and encourages team members to collectively collaborate and communicate.

This role will require you to work in our office located in Dallas, TX, 2 days a week and up to 4 days a week when acting as the backup in-office support to our Office Coordinator on an as-needed basis.
