Responsibilities Include:
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment as part of a cohesive team.
Utilize strong organizational and accuracy skills.
Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the position.
· Preparation, verification, and processing of weekly payroll schedule.
· Verification of time is done by digital timecards, GPS tracking, and manager review.
· Monitor electronic inputs of time reporting and reconcile variances in record keeping and reporting.
· Responsible for employee master file set up for employees’ status, earnings, and other changes.
· Assist with weekly/monthly withholding taxes prepared and reported online.
· Use the company construction software and its accounting modules to integrate payroll processing.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities at any given time.
Working knowledge of state and federal payroll regulations
Experience working with a team to accomplish a common goal.
Complete understanding of Prevailing Wages (usually less than 20 projects a year are prevailing wages)
Full understanding of Davis Bacon.
Process employee changes, including new hires, reviews, status changes, transfers, and terminations.
Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end payroll reports.
Assist team members with questions regarding payroll-related items.
Track vacation for both hourly and salary employees
Accurately set up federal, state, and local taxes for employees
Qualifications
· Recommend a two-year accounting degree or equivalent experience.
· Must be highly organized with good time management skills.
· Must have the ability to meet deadlines.
· Should be proficient in Excel, Word, and other related applications.
Viewpoint Spectrum and Exaktime experience a plus

Currently, 140 employees and growing.
Non-Union Workforce
Payroll is done Weekly.
Hourly, salary, and salary plus commission positions.
Other tasks
Enter cash receipts into Viewpoint to keep AR current (after the deposit is made)
Enter 401k and Davis Bacon into Empower weekly.
Submit MN Child Support electronically weekly.
Help the service department stay current on billing and ensure Property Insight and Viewpoint are in sync.
Support Accounting and HR Departments with tasks as assigned.
Typical workday 8 am to 4:
30 pm and overtime as needed.

Customer and Personal Service — Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
Administrative — Knowledge of administrative and office procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, and workplace terminology.
