Payroll Compliance Associate

Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Payroll Compliance Associate to join our HR and finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring our payroll processes comply with all relevant laws and regulations. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate and compliant payroll operations within our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure payroll processes are in compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
Review and audit payroll transactions for accuracy and compliance.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll laws and regulations.
Assist in the preparation and submission of payroll tax filings and other regulatory reports.
Monitor changes in payroll laws and update company policies and procedures accordingly.
Conduct regular internal audits to ensure compliance with payroll policies.
Assist with resolving payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries related to payroll compliance.
Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
Support the implementation and maintenance of payroll systems and software.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in payroll processing or payroll compliance.
Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
Proficiency in payroll software (e.G., ADP, Paychex) and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
