Job Description
The Payroll Specialist will report to the Director of Accounting in this role to support the growing and evolving payroll and related needs of the department as the Company continues to scale organically and through M&
A. The Payroll Specialist is primarily responsible for processing accurate payroll for 400+ employees on a semi-monthly basis. You will collaborate closely with Human Resources to validate on-boarding employee information for new hires and ensure inclusion of any unique terms of individual offer letters as well as coordinating employee salary adjustments and department changes. Other duties include assisting with expense to budget variance analysis and ad hoc reporting leveraging ADP’s reporting capabilities as required. You will also be assisting the Senior Director of Accounting Operations as needed and respond to information requests by management to analyze expenses and support external audit requests.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately process semi – monthly payroll in a timely manner
Collect approved hourly timesheet data and other payroll-related information
New payroll state or local tax jurisdiction account registration
Overall payroll compliance and support of any inbound DOL request or audits.
Code and post approved expense reports for reimbursement
Complete monthly and quarterly wage reporting for various agencies
Assist with 401-K administration and audits
Support the preparation and posting of payroll journal entries to ledger system
