A day in the role of Receptionist at TheWellington Nursing &
Retirement Home.
As a Recpetionist at The Wellington Nursing &
Retirement Home, you will be given high expectations, as well as an expectation to continue personal growth and professional growth. In this position, you will be gifted with a rewarding experience every day in the form of being able to see the exact impact you place on our residents.
As a Receptionist, you will report directly to the Reception Manager. This position is responsible for but not limited to:
Manage the incoming calls, take messages
Manage the incoming and out going mail for residents and the home, as well as distributing mail into mail boxes for clients and staff.
Manage hook ups for the phone for incoming clients.
Assist residents where necessary, ie. signing in and out for appointments.
Cover breaks for screening personnel
Providing administrative support to the Executive Director and other managers as assigned.
Updating Emergency Pacakage as front desk each week.
Updating lists for Administration:
Phone lists, Resident Lists, Health card Lists.
Assisting with Billing and mail outs.
Assist with entering Rapid Testing Information for Staff and Visitors.
Ensure Tea area&
lobby are neat and tidyand well stocked for residents.
Required to understand the nature and meaning of quality indicators used by the Home
Other duties as assigned and or indicated in Job Task Inventory

Retirement Home are as follows:
High School Diploma
Previous experience in a geriatric social related field is an asset.
Well developed interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to interact efficiently and courteously with residents, public, employees, and volunteers.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Good organizational skills.
Second language is an asset.
Must have a clear vulnerable sector screen, no older than 6 months, TB test results less than 6 months old, must be able to provide three supervisory references.
