Part-Time Therapist (Adult Outpatient Program)

GENERAL OVERVIEW OF KEY ROLES &
RESPONSIBILITIES:
This is a clinical position where the incumbent is held to high professional standards. The person occupying this position will provide individual, family and/or group therapy sessions to assigned consumers on a case load;
provide case managementas needed and provide detailed documentations of all clinical activities. The individual is to be supervised by the Program Director. The individual will be assigned the more difficult cases.
ESSENTIAL &
CORE FUNCTIONS:
1. Completes bio-psychological assessments for the assigned consumer(s).
2. Develops comprehensive treatment plans that are goal directed, measurable, and achievable.
3. Provides individual/family and/or group therapy sessions to assigned consumers based on weekly productivity requirements.
4. Evaluates individual consumer needs, interests and response to treatment.
5. When applicable, recommends and makes appropriate referrals to programs within and outside the Agency;
completes all program documentation forms including incident reports.
6. Attends all scheduled supervision sessions with the immediate supervisor or designee.
7. Coordinates and attends case conferences.
8. Attends meetings and seminars as directed by the supervisor.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
Requirements
PREREQUISITES &
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION:

1. Masters Degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology or any other area of Human Services.
2. Minimum of two years experience in the mental health/mental retardation or substance abuse field.
3. Valid FBI clearance, criminal history check and child abuse history clearance required.
4. Participation in and completion of all CBH mandatory in-services (must be completed with three (3) months of hire and then annually from the date of the initial training).
